Chinese Dou (Rice Bucket)
Traditional buckets, called Dou, were once used in the open-air markets of China to carry rice.
This bucket comes from the Zhe jiang province of China and was constructed in the late 1800s. It's reinforced with iron seams and handles for a sturdy rustic appearance. Great for floral display, as a sewing basket, or as a unique accent. Beautiful piece with a rich, weathered patina.
