Antique Decorative Box
This antique box is quite a find. It features classical scenese of ancient Chinese life, a decorative brass clasp , leather-covering, and each is one-of-a-kind. Please click on the image to view details.
Painted subjects may include arching bridges, well-dressed villagers, graceful pagodas, homes with courtyards, row boats floating over gentle lakes, clouds and rolling hills, and other ornamentation. All boxes are accented in rich red laquer and highlighted with gold.
The interiors of the boxes vary. All are quite rustic and richly aged. The interior of your box may include images of beautiful courtisans, fisherman, waterfowl, Buddhist figures, scenes from nature, or other ornamentation. They are all very special....we find it nearly impossible to choose!
